I grew a whole webapp out of a Google Collab notebook that my sister wrote, and it helped me buy a piece of property.
I combine data from Zillow and AirDNA to determine which properties currently for sale would provide the best ROI as a vacation rental.
The data is pulled from each site and combined into a table. The app is written in React and deployed to Vercel.
This was a really exciting project, because it was something I wrote entirely for my own purposes, and it helped me compare a huge list of options that I wouldn’t have otherwise been able to sift through.
Details on this one are a little terse as it will probably remain private. There’s a free business idea in here though if someone wants to go build it. I’d subscribe.
